Trending Fave: Knit Set
Who can say no to throw-on-and-go outfits? Knit sets have been trending everywhere these days and I am completely sold. With soft to the touch fabrics, no zippers or frigid buttons to worry about, these sets with pull-on ease make it easy-peasy to be a trending fave. Check-out one of my favorite knit set that I wore on a scavenger hunt for art installations in the middle of SoCal’s glorious desert landscape.
“Sterling Ruby’s fluorescent orange monolith, SPECTER, appears as an apparition in the desert. The bright, geometric sculpture creates a jarring optical illusion, resembling a Photoshopped composite or collage, as if something has been removed or erased from the landscape. The block acts as a cipher or stand-in, mimicking the form it could be — a shipping container, a military bunker, an unidentified object, an abandoned home-stead. Fluorescent orange is traditionally used for safety, as a warning. Here that logic is reversed: a ghostly object, set apart from the natural environment, hiding in plain sight.” -Desert X
The Specter is easily one of my favorites from this year’s Desert X art installations. Located in Whitewater, California, positioned between I-10 and a swath of open range mountains of Mount San Jacinto State Park, the structure is a loud, in-your-face installation that signifies safety, surrealism, and reflects the sheer escarpment of San Jacinto Peak. This fluorescent box is hard to forget and positioned ingeniously in the midst of the mountainous desert country.
Desert X’s sprawling outdoor art exhibition along California’s Coachella Valley is a gorgeous road trip I highly recommend. Road trips require easy, comfortable clothes and this knit set was a perfect choice to feel relaxed and stylish at the same time. Here are some of my favorite knit sets for your next road trip or weekend getaway:
This jogger knit set is one that I own and I love it! I live in this during weekends and airport flights. And more importantly- it is on CLEARANCE!
I love how free and easy this set is. From Free People, obvi.
Last but not least, you will be the queen of the festival with this adorable little set.
What’s your trending fave? "Trending Fave” will probably be an on-going series here on STYLE and I am excited to share my current obsessions. More importantly- Happy Friday, Bebots! I will be jamming to Noname in the Observatory and grub in Wayfarer Bread & Pastry in La Jolla for the first time this weekend. What are y’all up to?
