Festival Fashion - Boho Babe
I think we could all agree that Boho style means Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, and America's very own- Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. In the early 2000's, often credited to as a "homeless" look, the Olsen twins established "boho" features with large sunglasses, overflowing skirts, floppy hats, oversized chiffon gowns, and smokey make-up. With almost a 500-million dollar merchandising empire, it is safe to say that we all bought into the Boho style.
A one-piece wonder, flowy maxi dresses are one of my favorite pieces for the festival season. Collaborating with Forever 21 Fashion Valley in San Diego for this festival fashion lookbook, I found this 1970's inspired romantic occasion dress in-store with stunning details and embroidery. The sheer sleeves are an on-trend floral and lace, beautiful cut-out v-neck details, and made with a relaxed fit and true to size. Pair with gladiator sandals, or booties for a little grunge, finish with a hat, and you are ready for festival season. Check-out these Boho dresses available in Forever 21:
Boho style evolved in the rock scene around Summer of 2006 when Sunday Times had discerned a trend that infused Boho with heavy metal attitude. Floaty and delicate chiffon with heavy leather jackets, biker boots, and dark make-up made waves in rock and roll. Fast forward to now, Boho wardrobe is still very much part of festival fashion mixed with care-free hippie and rebel grunge styles. Unleash your inner wild child with this gorgeous, eclectic mash-up in your festival season.
