Wedding Season - Bridal Shower

Now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story no one on earth has ever read: which goes on for ever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.
— C.S. Lewis, The Last Battle

In theory, wedding invites should be pretty straightforward: We’re getting hitched; ceremony takes place here; gift registry details are at this website; RSVP by this date, and hope you can join. But when you are invited as a part of the wedding party- well, that’s when you need to know what you’re getting yourself into. To be a bridesmaid or being a close family to the bride-to-be, you are invited to not only the wedding ceremony but 3 or 4 other events. Bridal shower, bachelorette party, reception dinner, are added to the actual big day. Spring and Summer means that wedding season is upon us so I am here to help you decode outfits for all things Wedding Season. Whether you are a bridesmaid or a wedding guest this year, I hope this lookbook will give you some wedding season outfit inspiration as our dear friends start their journey to their Chapter One of their love story.

This first outfit is my selection for a bridal shower. This Lost Ink dress from navabi caught my eye with its dainty and lady-like feel. It is soft and light and the colors are airy and fresh. Ruffle details and a matching waist tie add beautiful details to this dress as nude accents create softness. I added a casual jean jacket for Spring's cool mornings just in case the bride decides for a mid-morning bridal shower brunch.

Personally, the wedding reception party is cool and all (because, wedding cake) but the bachelorette party is just as fun! So stay tuned for more Wedding Season outfits here on the blog because next up is a fun and sexy outfit for a steamy bachelorette night!
