V2K18 GALentine's Date

All the single ladies, all the single ladies. Now put your hands up.
— Beyoncé

Put gloss on your lips, your gals by your hips, and rock those curves tighter than your Dereon jeans because we are going to a GALentine's date! How about brunch? Bottomless mimosas and bottomless pancakes? Yes, please!

Bestie-relationships is a gift from heavenly places and Valentines is another day to highlight friends that have witnessed us in all stages of life and yet, stayed. From singleness to new flames, heartbreaks and starting over, we can count on our BFFs ready to hang loose in PJs, Netflix and actually chill, binge-eat on pizza (extra cheese), hot Cheetos, and a jar of Nutella. Add but of course the liquid cure- wine.

After binge watching and binge eating on a Friday night, lo and behold, somehow new Khaleesi baddies emerges from overworn PJs and is ready to slay (and grub) for a Saturday brunch. This is just one of many super powers we have as women and we do it oh, so well.

A "pretty in pink" outfit is definitely my pick for this year's GALentine's brunch with the girls. I envisioned a play on feminine shades of pink, so when navabi kindly gifted me this GALentine-approved dress from their beautifully diverse global on-line store, I was quite excited to see if the dress color would work for my skin tone. Concerned about being washed-out, this dusty pink transformed into a sexy neutral against my skin. I decided to pair this curves-loving midi with flirty heels and clutch to pop, curly hair to match its darling ruffle sleeves, and tied a jean jacket around my waist to give it an edge because Khaleesi taught me.

Kindred spirit's dates are not only fun but therapeutic and a necessity for us women. We as ladies glam-up for our sweethearts so I think it's only necessary that we do the same for our soul sisters we call our gals. Here's to celebrating our day-one Valentines and looking glam!
