The edginess, the over-the-top creativity, and in-your-face Baroque prints are my weakness reasons for Versace dupes. It was iconic for Tupac Amaru Shakur to be seen in Rapper’s Ball video rocking an all Versace look, and in my opinion, urban fashion hit a turning point. Hip-hop’s passion for fashion transitioned from laid-back cool to swaggy luxe.
I love how fashion can be a mood statement and I had an urge to put together a look that’s a little luxe, a little swaggy, and a lot of curves when I received this Versace-ish top and skirt set from Forever 21. I am loving the mock neck detail for cooler months and stretchy knit is basically made for curves. I decided to layer this look with one of my favorite longline jackets and added nude accessories to give the allover baroque print all the shine it deserves.
What do you think of Versace-inspired prints? And can you believe we are weeks away from closing Y2K18? Well friends, I wish you fun while you create layered looks for the cooler months ahead and challenge you to not be afraid of bold prints! I am on my way to do some exploring in NYC this weekend so stay tuned for some OOTD posts from the Big Apple this month on the blog! Happy November, Bebots!
